Mitoman is a racing game set in the 70s and 80s in the reality of socialist Poland. It is a collection of memories from Józek Środa - the protagonist. Told at the christmas eve table. His stories start of consistent, but over time, they increasingly diverge from reality. He mostly recalls his alleged driving prowess.
In the game, players have the opportunity to drive vintage cars from the Communist-era Poland (PRL). The entire action takes place in Bielsko-Biała – a city with an industrial heritage. Józek Środa works at the Small-Engine Car Factory (FSM), so he knows cars like the back of his hand. His stories are colorful and full of action – but that's only part of the picture.
Józek’s memories don’t reveal any bad moments from that era – at least not on the surface. The driving routes offer shortcuts that visually stand in stark contrast to the world presented. They hide a reality that Józek would rather forget.
The game features races, time-based route challenges, drifting trials, and story-driven missions.
Step into his world and see what life was really like “behind the iron curtain.”
