Getting Goopy originated as an entry for GMTK Game Jam 2024, where game developers were challenged to create a game in 96 hours with the theme "Built to Scale". Created by developers SilverGold and Flargin with music by Starpiercer_ and Mafti, the game received much acclaim for it's tight design and satisfying movement. Among over 7,000 games, Getting Goopy was selected as a winner by Jam host and renowned game analyst Mark Brown.
