The town has gone silent. All contacts were lost with the local population. Multiple police dispatches had been sent but none has returned. Being the best at learning the uncomprehensible, forensic investigators with their methodical skills of evidence gathering, have become the major role in this investigation.
The first step with any investigation is to measure and identify the dimension of the scene. Each group of investigators dispatch will strive to gather field clues whilst establishing parameter for their peers that follow, becoming the stepping stones to learning the unknown. Similar to measuring the size of a blackhole, each observatory body serves to gather data until their eventual demise, gradually revealing the dimension of the blackhole. Hence:
You are one of the many investigators, tasked to take photos as you go. With the now-added task of area security, you are also given basic combat training. Weapons are just another tool to your investigatory adventure.
Action shooter in true top-down 2D perspective;
Light-weight puzzles with supernatural theme;
Variety of items (8 melees, 15 firearms, 13 attachments, 4 throwables and 7 other items as of this demo);
Coop multiplayer supporting up to 8 players per game;
Random perk upgrades (15 types of perk as of this demo).
As the first milestone, this demo serves as a playable teaser for what's to come. It aims to depict the core gameplay loop and theme of the final game. Levels are hand-made to give players a sense of moment-to-moment gameplay.

The next milestone is to pivot the static level design toward procedural format featuring endless procedurally-generated levels. Every game you play will be unique. There will not be an end to the levels, until you lose to difficulty scaling that is.

The current design of this game's multiplayer is for one to host a server and players join as clients. If you would like to play with friends, someone has to set up a server with a reachable IP.
1. Download server build of this game via SteamCMD:
For Windows server, use this app id: 3574110 (Recommended build)
For Linux server, use this app id: 3610100 (Experimental build)
2. (Optional) Configure network port number in this file, when app has been downloaded: ..\ProjectDimension_Data\StreamingAssets\server_config.json
All players connecting to this server will need to specify the same port number before they join the server.
3. Run the server by executing ProjectDimension.exe(Windows) or ProjectDimensionDedicatedServerLinux.x86_64(Linux). Close the process to shut down server.
For coop, the maximum capacity per server instance is 8;
Recommended maximum resolution: 1920 x 1080;
Achievements are disabled for demo.
