When you face a wave of enemies, you can do the following:
Use your natural attack, as permitted
Play cards that represent Units, Abilities, or Effects
Units, once deployed, act on their own and use their own attacks and abilities
If you have no units in front, enemy attacks affect you and your health pool.
Several Waves comprise an Encounter.
Your units persist across waves, until the end of an Encounter.
Enemies drop loot in the form of Booty, the fate of which is decided at the end of an Encounter.
At the end of each Encounter you are offered one or more choices for a reward.
These rewards often include cards for your deck.
Certain cards have upkeep and require special attention.
The Booty is added to your Gold pool.
A series of Encounters comprises a Run. Different Runs, across timelines, bring you closer to waking up from the dream sequence and winning the game.
When you die, your dream sequence starts from the beginning with the following changes:
You retain all your deck
You retain half of your gold
Card'em All is in an early stage of development. At the moment, the plan is to have two modes of play: a linear campaign with a beginning and an end and a card-hunting/collecting mode to be played separately.
Subject to change the plan is to release Card'em All in the last quarter of 2025.
