Desolate Dusk is a solo-developed VR horror game where players navigate a small, desolate city, seeking shelter and fending off relentless entities. From an eerie manufacturing facility to a crumbling police station, each environment tests your survival skills in a world overtaken by an alien virus.
As one of the few remaining survivors, you find yourself on the run from various mutated and alien monsters. Eventually, you stumble upon a mysterious facility with a seemingly friendly entity inside, offering a glimmer of hope which shatters as you quickly realize that the facility’s life-support systems are failing, with the reactor nearly out of power. Desperate to survive, you must scour Blondsdale for spare batteries hidden by the building's executives and engineers. But beware—you are never truly alone...
GAMEPLAY IN VR:
Players will explore the outskirts of Blondsdale Illinois looking for parts to restore power to the only safe haven remaining in the city while defending themselves from the many monsters roaming around, starved and looking for their next meal.
Each level in Desolate Dusk has a unique setting where players are given a variety of different tools in their environment that they will need to take advantage of to hold off the mutated amalgamations. These areas usually consist of the player being trapped in a certain section of the level, where they must use everything they can in their environment to survive.
Slam doors shut to keep intruders at bay, flip levers to light up dark areas and scare away monsters, and hide when danger gets too close. Survive.
